How We Work
Advocacy
We actively monitor and advocate for the Victorian timber industry in relation to Victorian Government regulations, codes and specifications, broader procurement practices and competitor activities that may either potentially negatively impact the Victorian timber product market share or provide opportunities for positive preferential specification or market expansion.
Collaboration
We established an Industry Collaborative Communications Group (CCG) where we organise monthly catchups for industry bodies both locally and nationally. These are also for anyone connected to the timber industry. The CCG provides a regular forum focused on communicating positive messages regarding sustainable, renewable, and certified native hardwood and plantation forest management, production, and product use.
Advisory
Our team of engineers address technical calls specific to the industry including identification of species, engineering design, fire performance of timber products, timber finishes & external durability and termite protection issues. This is an extremely
important service in assisting with advising on appropriate specification and fit-for-purpose use of timber products.
